In 1998 Fortress Investment Group was created by Randal Nardone, Robert Kauffman, and Wesley Edens. The investment and management company made its debut on the New York Stock exchange in 2007. The company manages close to seventy-five billion dollars in private asset funds including; credit funds, hedge funds and private equity funds. Prior to his venture into the financial and investment world, Randal Nardone was a partner at the law firm of Thacher, Proffitt, and Wood. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Boston.
