Recently, GSH used their own internal logistics to transport 4 semi-truck loads of building material to the Habitat for Humanity of Madison County. Ms. Stokes is pleased to have given Habitat for Humanity these building materials. She thinks they will be put to excellent use by the non-profit.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization which has 10 fulltime employees. The company provides residents of Madison County with decent homes at an affordable price. These homes cost the potential homeowner only the cost of the building material. The homeowner is given an interest-free loan provided by Habitat’s loan department.

The generous donation by Barbara Stokes and GSH will go a long way. The $50 thousand in materials include drywall and Hardie Fascia board. The donation will also help further reduce the cost of the homes built with it. Habitat plans to use most of the material to build houses. Read more about Barbara Stokes at The Cullman Times.
