The latest, canceled TV show to make the move from a cable network to Netflix is Longmire, which will have its season 4 premier via the streaming service in the Fall of 2015. Venture Capitalist Post reveals members of the Longmire cast have been using social media to whip up fan enthusiasm for the return of the show after it was initially canceled by A&E because of low ratings. Longmire had been critically well received by industry insiders who praised the show for its story arc revolving around an investigation into the death of the title character’s wife.
A number of fan favorites are to return to their roles in the upcoming season, which will see the return of characters including Trey. One of the main stars of the show, former Battlestar Galactica actress Katie Sachoff has been tweeting about a possible Fall release for the show via Netflix. Skout pointed out that early reports from the set state the latest season is set to take a different route, but maintain elements of the search for the murderer.
